What Type of Computer Would Jack Bauer Use?

I have been a huge fan of "24" since its very first episode.  It is one of the most creative and unique shows on network television, and it continues to be as fresh and interesting today as it was when it premiered.

So, what does this have to do with Macs?  Chris’ Blog pointed out on 24, "the good guys use Macs and the bad guys use Windows. You can draw many conclusions from that…."  I’m just glad that Jack Bauer is on our (the Mac users’) side….

    I noticed the Macs too. True Macs are a prominent fixture on 24, but ‘them ain’t XServes’ in the server room of CTU (at least they weren’t that last time we visited). I guess, though, you could argue that 24 has “come to its senses” because the first couple of seasons Dell was on prominent display.
    Here’s where my media background kicks in, you mentioned that the good guys use Macs. Well, remember the adage “Good guys wear white?” Its a subtle message at play here. Besides, the light colored metal provides a nice contrast to the otherwise dark backgrounds.
    That said, I fully expect to see Jack using an iPhone next season!
