Appearance Matters :: Neat iMac vs. PC Mess

Posted in Mac vs. PC

Take a look at the two photos shown below.  The computer on the left is an iMac, and the one on the right is a Dell XPS 410. Which you would prefer to have on your desk?  Do you think that it makes a difference to a potential client whether you appear to be well organized and tech savvy or just a jumbled mess?  I think that it does, and these pictures show yet one more reason that you should consider using Macs instead of PCs.

I sense the picture is rigged. I can’t figure out the PC thing with so many cords, but the Mac only has a USB, power cord and one other. At a bare minimum you would need both an ethernet for connectivity (no Wi-Fi in the office) and something else for a printer.

The PC has cords for the following (at a minimum): monitor, keyboard, mouse, camera/video input, microphone/audio input.
The iMac doesn’t have need for all of those because it has the monitor, camera, and mic built in. Further, the iMac comes with wireless internet connection standard.
I seriously doubt that the photos are rigged, but I didn’t take them myself. I can say that the cords coming from the PC look similiar to the setups I have had and seen in the past.

And what might I ask will happen if the webcam goes bust in the mac?

News flash: Nobody cares. They’d rather have an extensive library of software than an over-simplified, untweakable piece of garbage.

Uh-huh… and what does the Apple/Mac “G-5″ tower look like again? By the way, I’m in full agreement with “anonymous” — I am a ‘reverse-convert’, meaning I’ve made the switch from “Mac” to “PC”! I wanted/needed flexibility, accessibility, and compatibility… AND MY MONEY! (I’m very tired of overly expensive machines that do too little to be costing so much, and on top of that expecting me to pay out through the nose for *NEW* operating systems every stinking year & a half!) The only reason my first couple of computers were iMacs was simply BECAUSE of their ‘simplicity’ (everything came complete in one piece!)… but had I known that ‘simplicity’ would also describe their overall performance & expandability, I might never have bothered.
