Highlights from iPad for Lawyers Webinar

If you missed yesterday’s "iPad for Lawyers: There’s An App for That!" webinar by my good friend, Finis Price, shame on you. Fortunately, you can view a list of many of the referenced apps here, and his webinar should be rebroadcast in the not too distant future.  As expected, Finis did an outstanding job, discussing many of the very best iPad apps for attorneys in about an hour.

I have listed below some of the apps that I found most interesting. Some of these I have, and some of these I plan to get.  I hope these are helpful to you:

• iAnnotate :: Allows you to insert color coded comments, highlights and bookmarks to PDF documents as well as list comments, highlights and bookmarks for each PDF.  Supports searching across PDF library as well as within documents and allows importing from cloud services (including Dropbox).
• Penultimate :: Notetaking app that provides digital power and flexibility. Take notes, keep sketches, or share ideas — in the office, on the go, or home on the sofa.
• uPad :: Notetaking app that offers unique zoom "box" writing and hand rest features.  It has VGA out capability and can annotate and export PDF files.
• Dragon Dictation :: Voice Recognition for document and text message creation. Emails results as well as copies them to the clipboard to email or text message.  Also allows for manual correction using the virtual keyboard.
• iTeleport :: Screen Sharing to your PC or your Mac. Easily navigates around Firewalls to provide secure screensharing with your office or home computer. Supports full keyboard along with volume, Windows keys and Function keys along with multi-key support.
• Shareboard :: A "white board" type app which allows up to four users/devices to collaborate.  When your iPad is connected to a projector, this app can be used for presentations at considerable savings to a traditional white board.
• Air Sketch :: Turns the iPad into a wireless whiteboard, which can allow annotation and mark-up of PDFs and images.
• Browsing Pad :: Divides your iPad screen into two, with one side being used for browsing and the other for note taking.  Also allows easy exporting of the notes to Evernote.
• Readdle Docs :: This document viewer and file manager allows you to catch documents from your computer, websites, ils, Dropbox, etc., save them to your iPad, and work with them offline.
